Dogs Queensland has recently added a 'Registered Breeder Check' to their website giving you the ability to check the contact details of registered breeders.
This should help with determining whether a breeder is registered or not.
Dogs Australia have a registered Dogs Australia breeder check also, plus find a breeder on their website for each State Controlling Body.
